The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District board voted unanimously Oct. 22 to award the Manhole Inflow Reduction Project No. 257 to Tryco General Engineering, the lowest responsive bidder at $288,610. The project scope covers 179 manholes and 19 cleanouts and focuses on raising manholes, changing lids, and improving seals to reduce inflow and infiltration.
Staff said the budget for the project is $315,000 (Wastewater Capital Improvement Fund 210); including a 15% contingency the District estimated a total project cost of approximately $351,000. The board recorded the motion (moved by Director Robert Morris, seconded by Vice President Steve Boydston) and carried the award by roll-call vote with all members present voting yes. Staff noted the work is intended to help the District comply with an existing Cease-and-Desist Order related to sanitary sewer performance.
