County signs on to statewide victim-notification maintenance contract; Apris listed as vendor

Captain Smith presented the FY2025 maintenance contract (C01668) with the Office of the Attorney General that allows county participation in the Statewide Automated Victim Notification Service (SAVNS). The contract ensures victims who register receive custody-status changes, court-date alerts and other notifications.
"Victims of crimes can register for this program, and they will get notified of any custody status changes, court dates, and whatnot," Captain Smith said, summarizing the system's service. Staff also noted Apris is the vendor chosen to maintain the server that runs the program. The court approved both the maintenance contract and the participating-entity agreement and authorized the county judge to sign electronically.
Staff said the agreements update contract years and compensation in keeping with the program's maintenance schedule and vendor arrangement.
