Comal County accepts $28,250 specialty courts grant for mental-health court training

Judge Wigginton asked the court to accept a FY2025 specialty courts grant under the Office of the Governor in the amount of $28,250 to support Comal County's mental-health court and to authorize the county judge to sign electronically.
"It is a award in the amount of $28,250," Judge Wigginton said, and explained the grant will pay to send 10 members of the mental-health court team to a May conference. Commissioner Eccleston sponsored the request; the court approved acceptance and signature authority.
Judge Wigginton thanked staff and the court for ongoing support and specifically praised the court administrator who wrote the grant.
