Finance staff presented the FY26 fourth-quarter pre-audit numbers to the board, describing the results as preliminary but close to expected final figures.
Presenter James reported, "Overall, the revenue is $24,200,000," and noted roughly 76% of that total came from taxes. He told the board the general fund was about $383,000 under budget (roughly 1.6%) before accruals and minor adjustments, and highlighted department-level variances (general government +22.8% due to transfers to capital projects and E911; economic development +26% tied to increased rental-market activity). James said SPLOST 7 concluded at about 96% of the budget and capital projects are roughly 75% complete; he emphasized the reported figures are pre-audit and subject to change after the formal audit process.
Board members thanked James and noted the information was included in the meeting packet. Staff will continue audit preparations and report final numbers when the audit concludes.
