Comal County updates agreement with Humane Society to let citizens drop off animals

Comal County commissioners approved the first amendment to the interlocal agreement with the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area to expand who may deliver animals to the facility and to authorize payment for services provided in July and August 2024 under the revised terms. County staff described the change as aligning the county agreement with a similar revision the city of New Braunfels made.
"This will allow citizens to also bring animals, and potentially save our animal control officers' time," the county presenter said. Commissioners praised the partnership and approved the amendment and supplemental agreement, authorizing the county judge to sign.
