Comal County approved an interlocal agreement with Hill Country MHDD Centers to continue providing mental-health and psychiatric services to incarcerated individuals at the county jail through Sept. 1, filling a brief coverage gap before a new contract takes effect. County staff said Hill Country provided updated cost information and the agreement includes a revised payment amount.
The court also approved a first amended extension for RFP 20193355 (inmate medical and pharmacy) with Core Health through Aug. 31, 2024, clarifying scope of services. "Again, this is to extend the medical and pharmacy services with our original provider, Core Health, and this just takes it to the end of this month," county staff said. Commissioners thanked legal staff for finalizing the amendment and voted to approve both items.
