Comal County approved an electric utility easement (1.23-acre tract) to New Braunfels Utilities so the utility can place facilities and a transformer serving the county'9s new Public Health and EOC building at the Goodwin Annex. County staff said this is typical for county building projects and recommended approval to allow power delivery along Loop 337's right-of-way.
The court also granted a discretionary exemption (Order 527) to contract with RAVA (Rava/Robah/RABA Kisner spelled variably in the transcript) for construction materials observation and testing and then approved the contract for those services for the Public Health/EOC project. Purchasing staff recommended RAVA perform materials testing so construction can move forward; the court authorized the county judge to execute the related documents.
