Calumet manager outlines $50,000 grant application, greenspace and 150th Anniversary plans

Village Manager Megan Haselden gave a broad report to the Calumet Village Council at its June 10 work session, saying the Village plans to apply for a $50,000 grant and that discussions are at an initial stage. She also noted that Media on Main recently featured Calumet and will highlight Village properties, including the new Greenspace.
Haselden outlined community events connected to the Village's 150th Anniversary: a Chandelier Unveiling event at the Calumet Theater on June 28 and Cro Fest scheduled for Aug. 8–10. She said planning includes coordination with the Village of Laurium on a competitive softball event, circulation of a summer event mailer, and a webpage dedicated to the 150th Celebration.
