Zoning director: Building-permit activity for Angelina, Alamo solar farms beginning this year

During his report to the Preble County Planning Commission on March 19, Zoning Director Brad Kramer said building-permit work is starting for two utility-scale solar projects in the county. "The permitting- the Building Permit process action is taking place for both Angelina and Alamo Solar Farms, so we will be seeing more and more activity in those areas in this calendar year," Kramer said.
Board members discussed timelines, field sizes and zoning requirements in a brief exchange. Kramer also noted items listed in the Director’s Report, including disposition of a case involving Kevin Kiracofe and another labeled Merengue Manor near the county line. There was no formal action on the solar-item report; it was provided for information and future permitting follow-up.
