Planning commission approves small boundary adjustment to correct misaligned fence

The Preble County Planning Commission on March 19 approved Case 1643, a request to adjust property lines so a small 0.075-acre sliver can be transferred from the Coleman parcel to the Fisher property. Chairman Mike Dare opened the item and resident David Coleman explained the history of the fence line and why the split is sought.
"My name is David Coleman. I live at 97 New Paris-Hillsboro Road," Coleman told the board, and later said the adjustment "is not to gain anything, or lose anything, it’s just to make things easier on down the line for everybody." The board discussed the matter briefly, found the proposal would square up existing use, and voted to approve the case under Section 1103.01, Items B–I. The roll-call vote recorded all members present voting yes on the motion to accept Case 1643.
