Mayor Jennifer A. Maxey reported appointments to multiple boards and commissions during the meeting. Robin Martin will replace Pat Flaherty on the Council on Aging with a term to Jan. 1, 2029; Angelian Bates will replace Mary Frances Kearns with a term to Jan. 1, 2030; and Damon Grimes was appointed to a term expiring July 29, 2027.
The mayor said the city is close to filling additional vacancies and encouraged residents to apply using the form on the city website or by emailing the mayor92s office. A handout of current vacancies was available in the council packets for public awareness.
