The Heritage Pines board accepted the unaudited financial statements as of Aug. 31, 2024 during its Oct. 15 meeting. District Manager Chuck Adams presented the statements and said the district is opening a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus funds.
Supervisor Michael Walsh raised whether SOLitude should be asked to compensate the district for poor performance; Adams said he would contact SOLitude and believed a 50% responsibility share could be reasonable. The board voted to accept the unaudited financial statements on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Ms. Vaughan, with all in favor.
