The Board of County Commissioners voted 5-0 to enact Ordinance No. 2026-12, approving PUD 2024-02 to allow an 11,500‑square‑foot automobile repair facility with up to ten active service bays and accessory outdoor storage at 10150 Cartwheel Bay Avenue.
Matthew H. Lahti of Gulfstream Design Group presented the applicant's plans and displayed the proposed site plan. Public comment noted prior noncompliance and lingering vehicles on the property; Marie Traina displayed photos and urged the owner to bring the property into compliance. The owner testified that abandoned vehicles had been removed and that "about 20 cars were serviced daily." The Board discussed driveway and parking improvements and approved the PUD based on nine findings of fact listed in the staff report.
The ordinance approval allows the applicant to proceed under the PUD conditions; staff will monitor compliance with the approved site plan and conditions.
