The Board of County Commissioners presented the 2026 Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award to Wilson Anderson of Jesuit High School, recognizing his on- and off-field achievements and community service, Katie of Hillsborough County Communications and Digital Media said.
According to the county recap, Anderson made four straight trips to the state final, won state championships in 2024 and this season, graduated with honors and volunteered more than 200 hours of community service. Honorable mentions were given to Matthew Altman of Gaither High School and Winston Pennant of Sumner High School.
The presentation was listed as part of routine recognitions at the June 3 meeting. County communications directed residents to the Hillsborough County website for more information on awards and youth programs.
