The Board approved 10 additional infrastructure projects under the Rebuilding for Tomorrow program, a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG‑DR) initiative administered by Hillsborough County and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to aid recovery from hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Katie said the projects were selected to address or mitigate flooding impacts and are dispersed across the county. She listed project categories including neighborhood drainage improvements, channel restoration, culvert repairs, emergency power outage beacons, pump station resiliency, low‑pressure sewer system conversion and natural lands restoration.
