Shane Heath, Sutton’s Highway Foreman, briefed the board on results of a hydrological study for Sutton Hollow and said a box culvert or arch culvert placed near the Tanner property is the recommended design. Board members noted that multiple culverts across town (Sutton Hollow Road, Burke Road and Calendar Brook Road near the Fix residence) need replacement and that total costs would be "astronomical" without federal assistance. Heath said the state described a process for road closure if repairs are not feasible this year; the board expressed hope FEMA funding would be approved to mitigate costs.
