State flood-recovery officer urges Sutton to press federal, state representatives for disaster aid

Moulton said VTrans has a limited pool of funds she can investigate if a presidential declaration is not forthcoming, and she encouraged town officials to assemble a prioritized list of needs and to contact their state and federal representatives and senators. Town members noted the town has already logged more than $500,000 in damage this year and still has a major bridge out; Moulton urged continued outreach to secure discretionary funds and technical support.
