SBA official tells Benzie County disaster loans available to storm-affected residents and businesses

Patty Hartman, representing the Small Business Administration Office of Disaster Relief and Resilience, addressed the Benzie County Board of Commissioners during public comment at 10:31 a.m. on July 21. Hartman said SBA personnel were in the area because Michigan was hit hard by storms in April and that the agency was offering assistance in the form of economic disaster loans for business owners, renters and property owners.
Hartman told the board that an SBA press release would be issued with details on eligibility and the application process. The board recorded the public comment; no action was taken during the special meeting related to SBA assistance.
