Council approves lease amendment as Kenny Seng operations transition to Granite Construction

City Manager David Tuckett presented a resolution approving the fifth amendment to the lease between Payson City and JKLMN Investments LC concerning the city’s gravel pit. Tuckett said Kenny Seng Construction was sold and merged with Granite Construction, and that Kenny Seng will continue operating the gravel pit and assume responsibilities under the existing agreement.
Councilmembers asked whether lease terms changed; Tuckett said they did not. Councilmember Brian Hulet asked for related contract information about the weigh station and ball fields and Tuckett agreed to provide additional materials. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote.
