Council approves agreement to let Beaver Valley Hospital operate Maple Dell and access Medicaid funding

City Attorney Brandon Dalley presented a resolution to authorize an agreement under Utah Code § 10-8-90 permitting Beaver Valley Hospital to serve as the licensed operator of the Maple Dell Healthcare Facility and access upper-tier Medicaid funding. Dalley said the agreement has been in use under similar statutory provisions and that the city retains termination authority.
Councilmember Ryan Rowley noted that the agreement would not negatively affect Mountain View Hospital and Mayor William Wright said the agreement would help expand services for local residents. The resolution (07-01-2026-E) passed on a roll-call vote of members present.
