Sperry trustees set April hours for town administrator; administrator reports siren installation, ditch work and police hiring

Trustees on April 10 approved a motion to limit Town Administrator Rick Rumsey’s weekly hours to no more than 32 hours for the month of April 2025. The motion, made by Melody Anderson and seconded by Patrick McCotter, passed unanimously (5–0).
During his administrator’s report Rumsey said sirens have been approved and staff are working on an agreement/contract, and that the town is coordinating with Public Service Company of Oklahoma to verify siren locations with an expected 6–8 week installation timeframe. He also said the town remains on Tulsa County’s waiting list for ditch cleaning and that applications for the police chief position remain under review.
