Ashville Garden Club proposes park shrub replacements, tulips and senior-center planters; kickoff meeting planned Aug. 22

Walker announced a membership kickoff meeting on August 22 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church to build volunteer capacity. The council did not take formal action on funding or permits for the volunteer work during the meeting; Walker's remarks were recorded under presentations and public outreach.
