A member moved that Townshend adopt the resolution strongly recommending that BMH "do everything within its power to maintain robust birthing services in Brattleboro and the region," and urging state agencies and the legislative delegation to act to support rural maternal medical care. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Board members expressed hope the resolution would demonstrate regional support for the service and help preserve access to rural maternity care.
