Bristow council authorizes appraisals and outreach for Heartland Industrial Park right-of-way; offers $0.18/sq ft to some owners

After an executive session authorized under 25 O.S. (B)(3), the council reconvened and approved multiple authorizations related to property along West 221st Street South for the Heartland Industrial Park.
Council authorized the mayor to send letters to property owners north of 221st offering the appraised value of $0.18 per square foot for right-of-way and guaranteeing the opportunity to connect to new water and sanitary sewer mains without paying a tap or meter fee once the infrastructure is complete. The council also authorized letters to owners south of 221st advising that the city will obtain an appraisal, asking whether owners will donate the right-of-way, and offering the same tap/meter connection opportunity. The council specifically excluded Mounce & Hinshaw from direct payment because they are city employees and directed those matters to be handled through the Creek County Industrial Authority. All motions passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
