Board approves McGraw Hill math for TK-8 and Savvas ELD materials as district pilots

On June 22 the Calipatria Unified School District Board approved recommended pilot adoptions for instructional materials. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Liliann Patterson presented the recommendation: McGraw Hill will be adopted for TK'8 mathematics and Savvas materials will be used for ELD across applicable grades. The motion to approve the adoption was seconded and passed by a roll call vote recorded in the minutes as 7 ayes.
District staff described the adoption as a full adoption (not supplemental) and noted grade spans and vendor selections will be rolled out to sites. The district packet lists staff references and vendor information; staff will complete procurement and implementation steps and notify sites of timelines for teacher materials and training.
