Attorney Beth Anne Childs introduced Larry Curtis of CivicDynamics for a presentation on planning, zoning and related municipal development services. Curtis described his firm's work in helping municipalities with planning and zoning functions and emphasized that his primary specialization is in planning and zoning work while colleagues cover other service areas.
Councilmembers Heather Green and Judd Johns asked whether the city could afford the engagement. Mayor Kris Wyatt said she believed the firm could help "fix the day-to-day operations and feels this will help." Councilmember Judd Johns moved to continue agenda item #7 to the Aug. 4, 2025 meeting; the motion, seconded by Jeff Roberts, passed on a roll-call vote with all present voting aye. The presentation will return on Aug. 4 for additional detail and possible action.
