Board approves summer school MOU, migrant plan, and other program agreements
Summary
Trustees ratified the Summer School MOU with CUTA, approved summer personnel assignments, adopted the 2026-27 Migrant Education DSA Plan and assurances, and approved service agreements including SMAA and Strong Workforce membership; motions passed unanimously.
The board unanimously ratified the 2025-26 Summer School Memorandum of Understanding with the Calipatria Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) and approved summer school personnel and assignments for 2026. Trustee Raul Navarro moved to ratify summer personnel and assignments; the motion passed by roll call of 7 ayes.
The board also approved the 2026-27 Migrant Education DSA Plan and assurances and approved the School-Based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (SMAA) service agreement for 2026-27, which focuses on medical billing for special education services. Trustees also approved Calipatria High School's membership in the Imperial County Strong Workforce Program Consortium and the district's participation in the California Adult Education Program (CAEP) consortium.
