A 4‑H representative described youth development, scholarships and outreach; speakers emphasized the programs can be offered to Potter County at no direct county salary cost for new extension hires because Prairie View pays salary, insurance and office equipment for extension agents.
The court approved a motion to allow Prairie View to reestablish positions and provide services in Potter County (vote 5–0). Separately, the court accepted the appointment of Pearl Jones as Potter County 4‑H and youth development agent effective Jan. 1, 2025; the county’s portion of salary was listed as $31,365.56 plus travel and allowances.
