Commissioners probe waterline, traffic impacts for Wildwood Farm project

Commission members asked multiple technical questions about utilities and traffic during the Wildwood Farm hearing. The fire marshal, Clint Starnes, told the commission that a study showed the existing water main was in a condition 'safe to do a secondary tap' but that the exact tie-in location for the waterline loop remains to be determined and would be reviewed with the construction drawings and infrastructure plan review.
The applicant's civil representative said they are coordinating with TDOT and that the traffic solution would be modest: a median/turn improvement and a roughly 100-foot turn/staging lane. "I mean, not a lot of cars... it's gonna have 44 parking spaces," the applicant representative said when asked about traffic impacts. Commissioners directed that water-tie and other infrastructure items be resolved before final permitting and that the applicant address public-works comments during the development contract stage.
