Parowan Council appoints resident Brandon Allen to Water Board

Allen introduced himself as a third‑generation Parowan resident, a Parowan High School graduate who attended Southern Utah University and retired after a 30‑year career with UPS. He said he is married to Stephanie Allen, who manages the Paragonah Post Office.
Councilmember David Burton moved to appoint Allen; Lyle Barton seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The council did not record dissenting comments. The appointment fills the Water Board vacancy created by the long tenure of the previous seat holder and will allow the board to continue its oversight of local water projects and operations.
