Board members questioned possible environmental impacts and whether flood vents and other building‑department requirements would be met; the applicant said she would follow any requirements identified by the building department. The board formally moved to delete variance number 4 for the application and then closed the hearing and reserved decision, keeping the record open for revised plans and environmental department review. The board said a revised plan must be uploaded to the portal before decision and that, if approved, applicants still must seek a building permit from the building department before starting construction.
