Residents press board on downed tree, stormwater permits and speed-sign rollout

Mr. Willis noted the CDD had engaged a contractor previously to clear invasive material and that the area remained in compliance.
Resident Christine Mantilia asked about stormwater-management permits and whether fire trucks could draw water from district lakes to lower lake levels. District Engineer Charlie Krebs said that practice is not typical, would pull plants and fish, and would require approval from the South Florida Water Management District. Resident Larry Fiesel asked about the speed sign project; Mr. Willis said Mr. Long is scheduling a training event with his staff and will provide an update at the next meeting.
