River Ridge Supervisor James Gilman resigns; board to solicit applicants for Seat 1

Mrs. Cleo Adams presented the resignation letter from Mr. James Gilman, who had represented The Meadows. The board discussed next steps for filling the Seat 1 vacancy; because this will be an appointment rather than an election, members agreed to notify residents via an e-blast and request resumes or letters of interest before the next meeting.

On motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the board accepted Mr. Gilman's resignation for Seat 1 (term expires November 2026). Staff will include candidate qualification requirements with the e-blast and present any received resumes or letters of interest at the next meeting for consideration. Administration of oath of office and required ethics training materials were noted as follow-up items.
