The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired Seat 1 on Oct. 22, 2024.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill during the meeting; "On MOTION by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Twombly, with all in favor, the appointment of Mr. Keith Merrill to fill Seat 1, was approved," the minutes state. Mrs. Cleo Adams, a state notary and the district manager, administered the Oath of Office to Merrill immediately after the vote.
During a brief orientation immediately after the oath, Mrs. Adams and District Counsel Tony Pires reviewed statutory and administrative obligations for board members, including required ethics training, Form 1 disclosure filing, the Sunshine Law, and Form 8B: Memorandum of Voting Conflict. The new seat term expires in November 2026. The Board thanked the other candidate, Kevin Ofenloch, for his willingness to serve.
