Assistant Public Works Director/Village Engineer Dittrich described a proposed grant application under FEMA's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program to purchase tiger dams. "These are water-filled dams that Lincolnshire can deploy around critical infrastructure," Dittrich said, and staff identified the Londonderry lift station and several utility boxes as likely deployment sites.
Trustee Grujanac moved and Trustee Raizin seconded approval to submit the grant application. The motion carried with Trustee Kelly absent. No dollar amount for the proposed purchase was specified in the minutes; staff described the opportunity as part of the Capital Plan and framed it as a resilience measure for flood-prone infrastructure.
