Assistant Public Works Director and Village Engineer Dittrich presented a final quote from Sternberg Lighting for signpost materials and told trustees the signposts would be delivered to Public Works. "The signposts will be purchased directly from the vendor and delivered to Public Works." The base materials quote for signposts was presented and staff included an option to order 28 light posts that would require permitting through Lake County, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and ComEd.
The Board approved purchase of signpost and light post materials from Sternberg Lighting in an amount not to exceed $396,864. The Board separately approved a contract with Lyons & Pinner Electrical Companies for signpost installation in an amount not to exceed $254,370; the installer was identified as preferred by the materials provider. Trustee Grujanac moved and Trustee Mitchell seconded the materials purchase; Trustee Grujanac moved and Trustee Pantelis seconded the installation contract. Roll call votes were recorded with Trustee Kelly absent.
