Caseville Council approves 2026 event calendar, grants conditional street closures

At its March 9 meeting the Caseville City Council approved a slate of community events proposed by the Caseville Chamber of Commerce and related organizations, voting 5-0 on each request. Approved events include Market on Main (Saturdays, May 23–Oct. 3, 11 a.m.–3 p.m., Main Street Park; Pine St. closures allowed when additional vending space is needed); Cheeseburger in Caseville (Aug. 14–23, parade Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m.); Caseville Country Ribstock (June 26–28); Denim & Diamonds (July 24–26); Power Boat Run (Aug. 7–8); Pumpkin Festival (Sept. 19); Jeepers Creepers (Oct. 3); Witches Walk (Oct. 24); Trash & Treasure Days (May 21–25); and approval for the American Legion Auxiliary poppy sales on May 2, 2026.
Council also approved a request to exempt a vendor (American Custom Marine–Kimball) from vendor fees during the Power Boat Run. Each motion was presented individually and passed unanimously, and staff were directed to apply any necessary street-closure processes for permitted events.
