Board approves personnel appointments including new Supervisor of Counseling

The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board approved personnel items 2–13 during the Nov. 19 meeting. On a motion by Mrs. Kiley, seconded by Mrs. McCabe, the board approved multiple hires and assignments by roll call.
Notable approvals included: Christina Gauss as coordinator for home stays for students and chaperones traveling from Spain (March 14–23, 2025) at a stipend of $125 per day; the appointment of Robert Miller as Supervisor of School Counseling & Wellness for Dec. 2 through June 30, 2025 at Step 4, $116,340 (prorated); and the appointment of Jared Gonsalves as Student Assistance Counselor beginning Jan. 21, 2025 (or once released by his current district) at Step 15–16, $79,355 (prorated).
The personnel packet also included leaves of absence, sixth assignments with prorated stipends for several teachers (specific stipend amounts listed in the packet), substitute and coach appointments, and the ratification of the resignation of Lisa Lagala effective Nov. 7, 2024. The roll-call vote was recorded in the minutes with the majority approving the personnel slate.
