Cathy Cannon presented a video and overview of the school year’s themes, saying, "We kicked off the year by welcoming staff back with intentional time to collaborate, reconnect and build shared expectations." She described district priorities including evaluating math curriculum, strengthening math supports, implementing CKLA to elevate reading comprehension, and an SEL focus on emotional regulation and peer relationships.
Operations Director Jeff Tumpane reviewed completed winter-break maintenance (HVAC Univent coil replacement, dance floor installation, flooring and painting, and relocation/installation of new copier/printer equipment), reviewed generators and BAS/boiler oversight and said the "Brook Park Summer Roof Project - Bid process is complete" and the project is on track for summer. Tumpane also listed potential short-term projects such as Brook Park Library work, an ECE pickup pad, classroom lighting upgrades and a steam boiler pipe replacement at Brook Park.
