Superintendent: Veregy conducts Phase One roofing/HVAC assessment; asbestos sampling done

Superintendent Ms. Keffer told the board that Veregy technicians were onsite to take roofing core samples to test for asbestos as part of a preliminary assessment connected to facility needs. She clarified that the district is moving forward only with Phase One of Veregy's recommendations, which addresses roofing and HVAC needs; additional recommended phases are not being planned at this time.
Ms. Keffer also reported that district administration met with the Regional Office of Education to plan 2026-27 professional development focused on improving math and literacy outcomes and increasing targeted professional development opportunities for staff. She noted the district continues to work with the NWSE Cooperative on facility and programming planning for expanded regional programming.
