Board approves FY26 budget after public hearing; board notes Title funds still outstanding

The Board of Education for School District No. 95 approved the district's FY26 budget following a public hearing at S.E. Gross Middle School on Sept. 11, 2025. Mr. Evans reviewed expenditure and revenue projections and noted that "the district has yet to receive the Title money that is owed," while describing the budget as "very favorable for this upcoming year."
Board members voted unanimously to approve the budget. Mrs. Reingruber moved to approve the FY26 budget; Mrs. Loerop seconded. The board recorded Ayes from Mulcrone, Jordan, Novak, Reingruber, Camacho and Loerop and no Nays. The approval came after the hearing that solicited public input on the district's spending plan for the coming year.
The meeting minutes show the district is continuing to track receipt of federal Title funds; no dollar amount for Title funding or the total FY26 budget figure was specified in the record. The board did not attach additional conditions to the approval. The district indicated it will continue monitoring revenue and will report updates to the board as needed.
