Bannockburn SD 106 board approves FY26 budget after public hearing

The Bannockburn School District 106 Board of Education approved the district’s FY26 budget on Aug. 26, 2025 after Superintendent Scott Herrmann presented the budget during the public hearing portion of the meeting. The motion to approve the full consent agenda — which included the FY26 budget — passed unanimously with six ayes and one absence.
Dr. Scott Herrmann reviewed the budget and then reviewed the consent agenda with the board before the en bloc vote. The consent package explicitly listed the approval of the FY26 budget among other items the board adopted by voice vote: Allison Bowman, David Kotowsky, Kassandra Hayes, Brian Kueber, Kostas Metropulos (attending by phone) and Amy Copeland voted yes; Steven Levine was absent.
The approved consent agenda also included the district's final 10-year life-safety plan, program approvals (including I-Ready), personnel lists and several reports required for district administration. The board authorized the superintendent to pay usual and customary bills for September 2025 as part of routine financial housekeeping.
The public meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Board President Allison Bowman and adjourned at 7:15 p.m. The minutes were signed and submitted by Recording Secretary Mary Alexander.
