Superintendent Dr. Scott Schwartz presented three documents to the board: the draft calendar, a Grant district calendar for reference and a comparison worksheet identifying differences. Board members said alignment with the Grant district — which shares families with Gavin SD 37 — was a priority; the calendar committee made one change to an early-release day before bringing the calendar to the board. The motion to approve was moved by Jennifer Meyer and seconded by Kristin Bloniarczyk; the vote was 6–0 in favor.
The board directed administration to communicate the approved calendar to families and post it on the district website. No discussion preceded the vote, and the calendar was approved as presented.
