Residents tell ZBA heavy equipment operations belong in industrial zones, not on farmland

Lori Cisneros, speaking for Coral Township, said the township voted unanimously against the proposed amendment and asked the board to honor the 2050 plan and protect farmland by tightening the OSB definition. "By splitting OSBs into two categories based on intensity of use, you dramatically reduce the numbers of what‑ifs," she said. Nancy Stovall testified about daily noise, truck traffic, and police calls after a large operation moved next door, saying, "There is no more quiet time to sit on my front porch swing." Board members said these firsthand accounts persuaded them to require clearer definitions and standards before permitting new conditional uses in A‑1.
