West Bonner County plans summer meal service starting June 22; adults may buy meals

District staff told the Task Force the summer meal program will be ready to begin on June 22, with site-specific dates noted (Aug. 13 for IDH and Aug. 14 for PRE). The meals are open to all children in the district; children do not need to be enrolled in the District to receive them.
Outreach plans include distribution to churches, foodbanks, daycares, libraries, Youth Emergency Services (YES), organizations offering swim lessons and other youth programs, and internal staff notices. The Task Force also said the Summer Meal Menu will be posted online. Adults may purchase meals for $5.50.
