Grade school sees K–5 enrollment rise; local businesses donate supplies and equipment

Grade School Principal Cassy Carey told the board on Aug. 21 that K–5 enrollment has increased and that community partners contributed supplies and equipment to support students. Carey specifically thanked Alliance Bank for a school-supplies donation and Vestis for a projector and screen given to the PTO.
Carey also said the PTO hosted a grade-school movie night and is planning to restore the spring carnival. The principal described a scheduling change — moving recess to before lunch — that staff have responded to positively. The matters were presented as informational updates; no board vote was taken on these items.
