Board approves consent agenda, personnel items, job descriptions and appoints recording secretary
Summary
At its March 18 meeting the Board unanimously approved the consent agenda (minutes and bills), the personnel report, job description changes, and appointed Deanna Kelly as recording secretary; it then moved into closed session for personnel matters.
The Board approved a package of routine items by unanimous vote and took the scheduled personnel and procedural actions.
Motions approved included the consent agenda (open/closed minutes from Feb. 18, board bills and summary of bills over $2,500, and imprest bills), the Personnel Report of March 16, 2026, approval of summer school fees, amendments and adoption of job descriptions for Instructional Coach and a new Enrichment Specialist, and the appointment of Mrs. Deanna (De) Kelly as recording secretary through June 30, 2027. For example, the consent agenda motion was moved by Mrs. Meyer, seconded by Mrs. Sederstrom, and recorded as "Approved: For: 6, Against: 0, Abstentions: 0."
The Board also voted to enter closed session under Section 5.0 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) for personnel matters; the Board entered closed session at 7:34 p.m. and later adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
