Darien SD 61 board approves consent agenda, confirms hires and resignations

The board approved employment recommendations for Ann Joritz (Food Service, Lace, effective 08-18-25), Vincent Peluso (Food Service Supervisor, start of 2025–2026 school year), Cinthia Torres (Paraprofessional, Lace, effective 08-18-25) and Richard Gruskovak (Food Service, EJH, effective 08-18-25). The agenda also recorded the resignation of Gabriela Guzman (Nurse, EJH) and the termination of Gennifer Kicker (Food Service, effective 07-15-25). Karen Buckels moved “the Board to approve the consent agenda as presented/amended,” and the motion carried on a roll call vote with all seven board members voting aye.
