The board approved resolutions authorizing issuance of Notices to Remedy to four teachers: Brianne Koletsos, Bianca Frutos, Amy Thoms and Sheila Burns. Motions to approve each resolution were moved and seconded and passed by roll call vote with President Tomschin, Vice-President Dominick, Secretary Manouzi, Members Couch and Barrera recorded as voting yes.
Separately, the board approved the termination of employee Eduardo Benitez. The personnel report was then approved and included multiple employment actions: new hires (some pending background and medical verifications), resignations with effective dates, approvals of leaves of absence (including FMLA requests with listed date ranges), rescission of previously noted retirements for Rhoda Larson and Amy Thoms (new retirement dates recorded), and a termination for job abandonment (employee #7868, Norma Vazquez). All motions carried with the same five members voting yes; Members Terracino and Moreno were absent.
The board did not provide further details of the underlying personnel complaints or the content of the notices in open session; the minutes record only motions, seconds and roll-call results.
