Komarek SD 94 outlines summer and spring facilities work funded by $50,000 matching grant

Board member Suzy Stevens told the Komarek SD 94 board the district will use a $50,000 state matching grant to support several facilities projects. Stevens said bleacher maintenance in the secondary gym has been completed and roof drain repairs are scheduled for President's Day; new doors will be installed during spring break in the renovated and east buildings, and the roof fence above the district office will be replaced.
Stevens said further work is planned over the summer, including replacement of the auditorium floor with luxury vinyl tile and tuckpointing of the renovated building. She added the sound system in the old gym will be updated at a later, to-be-determined date. The board did not alter the funding plan during the meeting.
